AP Wi-Fi Options
What is the Networking Device?
The networking device in the context of Wi-Fi options serves as the 'messenger' or 'transmitter' in the LokalFi system. It's responsible for broadcasting the Wi-Fi signal throughout the coverage area, ensuring that end-users like you can connect their devices—be it laptops, smartphones, or tablets—to the LokalFi network.
Why Do You Need It?
Imagine a radio station with all your favorite songs, but no way to broadcast the music for everyone to hear. That's what LokalFi would be like without a networking device to transmit the Wi-Fi signal. The networking device plays a crucial role in ensuring that the data from the Main Computing Unit reaches you, wherever you are within the coverage area. Without it, the superb apps and features of LokalFi would be like undiscovered gems, unreachable and unusable.
How Does It Work?
Once you're within the coverage area, your device will detect the Wi-Fi network broadcasted by the networking device. After you connect, the device serves as a bridge between your gadget and the Main Computing Unit. When you want to access any LokalFi app or the internet, your request first goes to the networking device. It then forwards this request to the Main Computing Unit for processing. Once the Main Computing Unit sends back the data (like the video you want to watch or the website you want to browse), the networking device ensures that this data reaches your device smoothly and quickly.
