Networking Device
What is the Networking Device?
The Networking Device is like the 'postman' in the LokalFi world. It's responsible for delivering your data and requests to and from the Main Computing Unit.
Why Do You Need It?
Think about it this way: the Main Computing Unit is your 'brain,' but your brain needs messengers to communicate with the outside world. The Networking Device is that messenger, ensuring that all your favorite LokalFi apps and services reach your laptop, smartphone, or tablet without any hiccups.
What Does It Do?
The Networking Device takes care of the following tasks:
Spreading the WiFi Signal: Helps in broadening the WiFi reach, so you can connect from various locations within the area.
Routing Data: Ensures the correct data packets reach the right device. If you want to access LokalFlix, it makes sure you get LokalFlix!
Security: Adds an extra layer of security by filtering data and controlling who gets to connect to the network.
How Does It Work?
Once you connect your device to LokalFi, your request goes straight to the Networking Device. It quickly figures out what you're asking for—be it watching an educational video on LokalFlix or searching on the offline Wikipedia through Kiwix. It then communicates your request to the Main Computing Unit, which processes it and sends back the required data or access via the Networking Device.
